Black Stars Begin Preparations For Sudan

Jones Attuquayefio begins with the ardour's task of preparing his team for the World Cup qualify against Sudan on the 26th of February with his locally based players who are to report for camping. The list has 13 locally based players.

They are Constance Mantey gk. Kofi Amoako and Nana Arhin Duah all of Goldfields, Sammy Adjei gk. Jacob Nettey, Ishmael Addo, Stephen Tetteh, Amankwa Mireku, Emmanuel Osei Kuffour and Agyeman Duah all from Accra Hearts of Oak, Lawrence Adjei and Isaac Owusu both of Asante Kotoko and Baffour Gyan from Liberty Professionals.

It is not known as to when the foreign based professionals would be arriving, most who have fallen out with most of the Ghanaian fans.

Meanwhile, it is now being revealed that Everton based star, Alex Nyarko would not be coming over for the match as he is recovering from an injury he sustained recently.

A defeat for Jones and the Black Stars would end the Ghanaian World Cup dream which suffered a major blow after the Lone Star's lead by George Oppon Weah and outplayed and outclassed the Black Stars in the Stars' second World Cup qualify in Accra which the Liberians won by three goals to one before an expectant Ghanaian crowd.

According to Jones, he is very optimistic about the Stars' qualification to the World Cup and is very hopeful that the Black Stars would beat Sudan.
