Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah hopes the team gets better after a slow start in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars are yet to record a victory after two games.

A 2-2 draw with Benin and a goalless stalemate with Cameroon leaves Ghana with no option than to win the final Group match against Guinea Bissau on Tuesday.

Many have not been enthused with the team’s performance at this year’s Cup of Nations tournament so far but Kwesi Appiah believes his side will pick up.

“If you check this for many years, Ghana doesn’t really start competitions very well. For me the Cameroon game was very good improvement,” he said in a presser.

“You know a good team is not the one that starts (competitions) very well but one that ends very well.

“I have a lot of confidence in my team, most of the times we don’t start well in championships but the game against Cameroon was a better performance than Benin and I am very sure of a much better performance against Guinea Bissau.”

The Black Stars left their base in Ismailia to Suez yesterday and have since been preparing for the game against Guinea Bissau.

A win will see Ghana into the next round of the competition.
