The chairman of the management committee of the Black Stars, George Afriyie has confirmed Avram Grant will arrive in Ghana on Sunday to begin preparations for the 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Rwanda.
The Black Stars will take on Rwanda on September 5th, but before that, they will play Congo in a friendly encounter in Brazzaville on September 1st.
Head coach of the team Avram Grant is expected to name a strong side for the games.
The Israeli is however yet to touch down in Ghana after a one-month leave.
But George Afriyie says the coach has confirmed he would arrive in Ghana on Sunday.
“I have spoken to the Protocol Officer of the Ghana Football Association, and he has confirmed to me that Mr Grant would arrive on Sunday,” Afriyie told Citi FM
“There are a lot of issues to be discussed but to be fair to Grant we should talk to him in person and not in the media.”
