Sulley Muntari may be out of the Black Stars but his historic exploits with the national teams keeps inspiring younger generation with new Ghana defender Abass Mohammed idolising the former Inter Milan and AC Milan midfielder.
"Sulley is my idol. I love him and admire him and I always try to play like him," Abass tells Ghanasoccernet.com
Abass, a left-footed defender who sometimes plays as a holding midfielder or a winger says he's always tried to play like Sulley since his childhood stages.
"I have never met him (Sulley) before but anyone who knows me tells me I play like him and that makes me happy.
"I like him and I watch him to learn. When I was young, anytime I watched the Black Stars play, I just watch Sulley. I've never seen him joking on the field before and that is the character I want to become," he added.
The Harrisburg City Islanders defender is hoping to break through into the starting eleven of the Black Stars after earning a successive call up into the team.
