The Black Stars visited an orphanage in Kumasi on Wednesday to interact with the kids and donated food items to the children.
The national team players and their coaches went straight to the Kumasi Children's Home soon after arriving in the Garden City from Accra ahead of Friday's crucial 2014 World Cup qualifying clash against Zambia.
Coach Kwesi Appiah, captain Asamoah Gyan and Michael Essien presented the items to the children in the presence of the other players.
"We have come here to join these lovely kids to encourage them that there are many better days ahead," captain Asamoah Gyan said.
"The kids are lovely. They look up to us the Black Stars as role models and it is only right that when we come here we spent some of our time with them and encourage them."
As part of their mission to give back to society, the Black Stars normally visit orphanages to encourage the kids and give them material support.
