The vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management committee, Winfred Osei insist the team cannot afford to drop points in their World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Friday at Tamale Stadium.
Ghana will welcome the Cranes of Uganda in their opening 2018 Russia World Cup qualifiers with a lot of expectations from considerable number of Ghanaians and the outside World due to Ghana’s pedigree in the arena of World football.
In an interview with Cape Coast based ATL FM, the Executive Committee member emphasized that Ghana has to lay good foundation in this World Cup qualifiers which must start from the landlocked East African country side.
“Black Stars game against Uganda on Friday is a must win for Ghana because we need to start with a brightest note to make our qualification journey short and flexible which will help to forestall the potential emergence of total loss of support by Ghanaian football enthusiasts’’.
Ghana is chasing for her fourth successive World Cup qualification after grasping it for the third consecutive times.
