Black Stars have what it takes to win the world cup- Dr Tetteh

Accra, June 26, GNA - Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist, on Friday noted that the Black Stars have what it takes to win the ultimate prize of the 2010 World Cup, if they stick to their exemplary and extraordinary performance.

"Everything favours the Black Stars and who knows? Ghana can be the first African nation to win the World Cup being hosted for the first time on African soil," he said.

Dr Tetteh said morale for the victory of the Black Stars in the tournament in South Africa is high in Ghana, Africa and other parts of the world.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, he said the unity of purpose the stars have brought to the nation makes them "good ambassadors worthy of emulation".

Dr Tetteh said God is uniting Ghana through the Black Stars, hence the need for the players to lift up their game in order to forge national cohesion and integration.

"Many Ghanaians are praying for national unity and God is using the Black Stars to achieve that."

He commended Ghanaians for standing behind the Black Stars and said with their continuous prayers Ghana would certainly emerge victorious. Dr Tetteh cautioned the media against negative reportage about the players and the technical body, which he said could be demoralising. 26 June 10
