The Black Stars recorded a cricket score against lower Division side Deportivo in a friendly match on Thursday afternoon.
The game forms part of Ghana’s preparation towards the tie against Egypt at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium next week Tuesday.
Coach Akwasi Appiah’s men beat the second tier side 7-1 in a match that gave the technical handlers the opportunity to assess the strength of the team before the crucial game. Ghana scored four goals in the first half through Udinese star Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Mubarak Wakasso and a brace by Mahatma Otoo.
Coach Appiah made some changes in the second half and introduced the likes of Essien, Muntari, Opare, Dede Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Jerry Akaminko into the fray.
The team scored three more goals in the second half through a Majeed Warris brace and one from Sulley Muntari. The Black Stars continue with their preparation on Saturday through to Monday before the game on Tuesday.
