A Former international player, George Alhassan says players of the senior national team must be willing to sacrifice to win the Nations Cup in Egypt this year.
Ghana have not won the coveted trophy for over three dedicates, with the last one won in 1982 in Libya.
The Black Stars have since reached the finals of the competition three times, in 1992, 2010 and 2015 but are yet to win the elusive fifth title.
George Alhassan, a member of the 1982 team in Libya says it requires some sacrifice from the players to win the AFCON.
"We are all crying to win AFCON again because it been long since we won the trophy. Years without a trophy is worrying. Cameroon wasn’t having any trophies when we won the 4th trophy but currently they have won the trophies more than us," he told Happy FM.
"We didn’t have the best preparation when we won that trophy in Libya. What helped us was that we the players were ready to Sacrifice ourselves for the country and we actually love to play football so we did all we could and won the trophy," he added.
