Black Stars players will be forced to feign injury-Osam

Former Ghana coach Osam Dodoo has warned that Black Stars players will begin feigning injury just to turn down national team assignments over the reported stance of the Sports Ministry to slash bonuses.

Reports are rife that the Sports Ministry will be issuing a take it or leave it ultimatum to the Black Stars players for a 50% decrease on their winning bonuses.

These reports from multiple sources claim the state have now pegged the Black Stars’ winning bonuses to a flat $5000 fee.

Officials from the Ghana FA have already raised red flags over this stance – predicting it will be rejected by the players since their input was not sought.

Former coach of the Black Stars Osam Dodoo now says players will be forced to feign injuries so not to play for the national team in their own way of rejecting the reported reviewed bonus policy.

“No player will come out to say he wouldn’t play. They will rather start feigning injury,” he said,

“What, you think Michael Essien will come out to say he wouldn’t play for people to victimize him?

“He will just tell you he has a medical problem and for that he wants to be excused.”
