Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah does not have any team preferences, ahead of the draw for the Africa Cup of Nations comes in Egypt on Friday evening.

The Black Stars, four-time champions, are one of 24 teams eagerly anticipating the event, which will draw African soccer fans closer to the June 21-July 19 championship.

Appiah's outfit have been placed in Pot 2 for the draw, which includes Cote d'Ivoire, DR Congo, Mali, Guinea and Algeria.

''We are looking forward to the draw and it will be an interesting tournament," Appiah told Capital Sports.

"[To win the tournament], you have to work harder compared to the other editions [due to the increase in participating teams from 16 to 24].

''But we are ready for anyone, a draw is a draw.

"Every team is tough and you can't select whom you want to face.''

Pot 1 comprises of hosts Egypt, defending champions Cameroon, Senegal, Nigeria, Morocco and Tunisia.

South Africa, Uganda, Benin, Mauritania, Madagascar and Kenya make up Pot 3, while Zimbabwe, Namibia, Guinea Bissau, Angola, Tanzania and Burundi are the teams in Pot 4.

A team from each of the pots will be drawn into each of the six groups for the tournament.

Ghana are hoping to win the Afcon for the first time since 1982.
