Black Stars will deliver in Cairo - Olele

Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingson has urged his fellow players and the technical team to stay focus as they prepare to face Egypt in their return-leg encounter in their final World Cup qualifier in Cairo.

Players, technical team and officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) were hoping that the World football governing body, FIFA organizers of the game will name a neutral venue for their return-leg due to recent happenings in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, the venue for the game.

FIFA wrote to Egyptian FA and received guarantee that adequate security would be provided.

FIFA then confirmed the venue for the encounter scheduled for November 19th 2013.

FIFA added that the decision of CAF to host the Champions League final on 10 November at the Air Defence Stadium shows that 'the current situation in Egypt has turned back to normal', the letter from the world governing body read. However, Kingson believes the response from FIFA should not have any negative impact on their preparations.

“The message I have for my colleagues Black Star players and the technical team is to remain focused on the task ahead. If you are prepared to die, you are prepared to live. You need not to fear where you are going when you know the Almighty God is going with you. We are not alone” he urged.
