A Ghanaian resident of the United States of America (USA) could not hold back his excitement after meeting Ghanaian and West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus.

Mohammed Kudus and his West Ham United teammates are in the US as part of preparations for the upcoming 2024/2025 tour.

The fan managed to get to EverBank Stadium, where West Ham has been training and playing some pre-season matches, and got Mohammed Kudus's attention.

The man, who had his baby in his arms, handed him over to Kudus to 'bless' him and impart on the little child the footballing talent that has made Kudus one of global football's biggest stars.

Mohammed Kudus did not object. He warmly received the baby and said a few things to him before giving him back to the father.

The heartwarming video has been making the rounds on social media, and similarities have been drawn to Lionel Messi's 'blessing' of Barcelona and Spain forward Lamine Yamal when he was a baby.

Social media users believe Kudus' blessing will work magic on the baby, who will grow up to become a Ghanaian football star.

Mohammed Kudus, who enjoyed a stellar debut season in the Premier League, is confident of taking his game a notch higher.

Under the more attacking-minded coach Julen Lopetegui, Kudus believes that his offensive talent will be fully exploited and that he will enjoy success in the 2024/2025 season.
