Boampong handed Hearts suspension - report

Hearts of Oak defender Philip Boampong has been handed a one-week suspension according to reports in the local media.

The 24-year-old is reported to have absented himself from training – resulting into his suspension.

According to Hot FM, Boampong has been told not to train with the full squad for one-week.

He is however not prevented from visiting the training grounds and has also not been barred from attending other club activities including matches.

The suspension handed out to the ex Berekum Arsenals player forms part of the new disciplinary code being implemented by the new technical team of Hearts headed by experienced coach Herbert Addo.
