Board shifts Arsenals/BA match to Koforidua

Accra, Sept 15, GNA - The Professional League Board (PLB) has shifted the fourth week Premier league match between B. A United and Berekum Arsenals from the Kumasi Sports Stadium to the Koforidua Sports Stadium. A statement from Mr Kwaku Ampem-Darko, Deputy General Secretary, Technical of the PLB said the shift in venue came about because the Kumasi Sports Stadium would be engaged on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19 for the Division One League (DOL) and Premier League matches respectively.

The statement said the PLB had earlier changed the match from Cape Coast to Kumasi on Saturday because at that time there was no match fixed at the Kumasi sports stadium. It said the attention of the PLB has however been drawn to the fact that DOL matches will resume this weekend meaning that the Kumasi Sports Stadium would not be available on Saturday. The statement said under the circumstances the PLB has no option but to shift the match to Koforidua on Sunday. B. A. United is currently facing a three match home ban after some crowd violence in one of their league matches.
