Dnipro's Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng, who was linked with a move to Fulham, has confirmed his desire to play in England.

The Cottagers were linked with a swoop for the 28-year-old international in the January transfer window, but his current club snubbed both reported offers for his signature.

However, Boateng, who has 35 caps for Ghana and is regarded as one of the best midfield players in African football, has now pressed Dnipro to let him leave at the end of the season so he can realise his ambition of playing Premier League football.

But, if Fulham boss Martin Jol attempts to make a third attempt at signing Boateng, the player appears uncertain if he will get the green light to move to Craven Cottage.

"I want to play in the English league," he said. "I love that league and I will enjoy my football there because they let you play there and the pace is unbelievable.

"It will be a dream come true for me to play in the Premier League."

On Fulham, he added on MTNFootball.com: "When the transfer window opened Fulham approached Dnipro to sign me on loan but my club flatly turned down the offer.

"Fulham then offered to sign me in the summer but that was also rejected. So I won't be moving to Fulham."
