Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng says he does not want to be distracted by transfer talk as he prepares for his first World Cup.
Boateng is set to leave cash-strapped Portsmouth this summer and West Ham are known to be interested in his services.
With ex-Pompey boss Avram Grant having completed his switch to Upton Park, Boateng has suggested he would be open to a reunion, but he insists he is keeping his focus solely on South Africa for now.
"I really like playing under Grant but for the moment I am not thinking about a new club," he told Kick Off Ghana. "I just want to focus on the World Cup now, the biggest competition in the world, and afterwards I will sit down with my agent and talk about club issues."
Meanwhile, Al-Sadd winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie says he is determined to make the most of this World Cup after being handed a fresh opportunity by coach Milovan Rajevac.
Quincy, who played alongside Boateng at Portsmouth last season, found himself out of favour after a poor performance during Rajevac's first game in charge in September 2008, but he is now back in the fold.
"[Rajevac] called me for the 30 man squad and I showed him what I am capable of and now I am in the final 23 for the tournament so I am just delighted to be a part of it," Quincy told Kick Off Ghana.
"Preparations are looking good and everyone is fit. It feels great. I have missed the team, I have missed the atmosphere and I have missed the players so I am happy to be here.
"Hopefully I will have telling impact and create some good opportunities for the team down the wings. I have never been involved in the World Cup before so you can imagine how eager I am. We also have a strong team so I am excited.
"We just have to take is a game at a time. We have Serbia first and, if we stay focused, we have a good team and good team spirit that should get us through."
