Boateng insists Ghana commitment intact

Kevin-Prine Boateng has lashed out at reports questioning his loyalty to Ghana via twitter and says he remained committed to Ghana.

The AC Milan midfielder has been pummeled for a lackadaisical attitude to Ghana game which is believed to be the reason why he has been left out of recent Black Stars game.

But he describes those results as lies and says perpetrators of his no commitment story are only pretending to know the truth.

"People saying I refused to play for my country are liars. People pretending they know the situation need to sort themselves out," he said on his official Twitter page "I'll just say one thing. I love playing for my country and that has never changed."

Boateng, a former German youth international was outstanding for the Black Stars after opting for Ghana where his father comes from. But he has played only three games since and has looked largely off colour in all of them.

His constant unavailability through injury when Ghana games come has led to suggestions he is simply no longer interested but coach Goran Stevanovic has said he will clear up the situation with him and call him up for October's double header against Sudan and Nigeria.
