Bok Nam Kim Memorial Golf Tees off at Tema

Tema, April 3, GNA - More than 100 professional and amateur golfers will converge at the Tema Country Golf Course to vie for the Bok Nam Kim Memorial Open Championship trophy on Saturday, April 8. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Manager of the Tema Country Golf Club told the sponsored by Afko Group of Companies.

He said the competition which would be played under the rules of the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club, has Handicap One to 18 as the entry requirement while those with Handicap 27 may play to Handicap 24.

Some of the golfers to be seen in action to battle for supremacy from the host Club, includes Kwabena Boakye, William Yeboah, Emmanuel Mensah, Bright Adablanu, Godwin Bada and petit Niccolo Catto. The Professionals will engage in a 36-Hole Scratch Play starting from April 7 and end on April 8.

Officials of Afko Group of Companies are expected to grace the occasion.

Mr Bok Nam Kim, the former Chief Executive Officer of Afko Group of Companies single-handedly sponsored Ghana's contingent to the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.

He was elected President of Tema Country Golf Club in 1989 and died in 1995. 03 April 06
