Ghana Premier League newbies, Bolga All Stars have announced FC Tamale Utrecht home grounds as their new adoptive home ahead of the start of the 2016/17 season.

The Bolga based club sealed qualification to the top flight of Ghana football as winners in zone 1 during the 2015/16 GN Bank Division One League (DOL) season playing at their favourite Bolgatanga Sports stadium.

However due to the premier league license authority rules, All Stars won’t be able to use the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium at least for the first round of the season whilst the club authorities and the National Sports Authority (NSA) in Bolgatanga upgrade the venue.

Abagna Nelson, the Public Relations Officer in an interview with Ghanafootballonline admitted discomfort for the fans who have to travel for close three hours to watch their club play at home but the club could do nothing about the decision.

“We are currently working on getting the Bolga Sports Stadium ready at least for the second round of the league. We don’t have a grass pitch nor a well furnished dressing room and that are some of the basic requirements – we have failed to meet.

“We are working on all those challenges knowing well the change of venue will have adverse effect on the fans (patronising our home games due to the distance between Bolga and Tamale).

“We have temporarily adopted Tamale FC utrecht academy club park,” he added. Bolga All Stars will play Wa All Stars in their first home game at their adoptive home in match week 2.
