Bortey sure of Hearts victory against Esperance

Former Hearts icon Bernard Don Bortey says he is anticipating a keenly contested encounter which would be defined by fine margins when Hearts take on Esperance.

The 2000 continental conquerors have been served a mouthwatering tie against familiar foes Esperance of Tunis.

The jury is still out on the Phobians despite being just a step away from making the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Esperance themselves haven’t fared any better since winning the CAF Champions League in 2011.

Hearts will be seeking to banish recent disappointments and put a smile on the face of their teeming supporters whiles Esperance will be looking to make up for the damaging defeat to Sudanese side El Merreikh in the CAF Champions league.

Don Bortey a proud member of the “never again 64 battalion” says that he is expecting a keenly contested encounter.

“Football is strange and a lot of details will determine the outcome at the end of the day but I expect it to be close,” The Panthers FC man told Citi FM.

“Hearts have done well to get to this stage and I feel they will be up for this one too. I have read a lot concerning this game but for me little margins will define this,” he added.
