Braimah Wins Ghana-US Walk

Stanley Braimah of Cape-Coast Central Region last Saturday emerged winner of the 10km GHANA-US WALK ahead of a pack of 35 walkers when he clocked a time of 48 minutes 35 seconds to clinch the first position.

Eric Nuamah of Afram Plains in the Eastern Region came out of clocking 30 seconds behind the winner.

The first twenty walkers were given NEW BALANCE race walking shoes each and other equipment related to the sport from U.S walkers through world class of race walking in Mobil Alabama in the U.S. The long distance walkers also received ‘PowerBar athletics FAST FUEL gel from PowerBar, U.S.A.

In addition products such as Cowbell and Voltic mineral water were distributed to them.

After the walk, the national chief athletics coach Mr. S. S Atuahene, advised the walkers to be steadfast and disciplined in their approach to the sport so as to make a name for Ghana and themselves.

The chief coach thanked the sponsors namely Biriwa Beach Hotel, Voltic mineral water, cowbell food drink and the main sponsors U.S racewalkers.

Vincent Asumang the ace walker walked with them for the first six kilometers to help them pick pace.
