Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante is in the final stages of a switch to English Championship outfit Coventry City in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old forward is currently undergoing a medical at Coventry after snubbing a move to Hull City.

Thomas-Asante, who has been West Bromwich Albion's top scorer in the last two seasons, is expected to put pen to paper on a deal following his medical.

The striker is believed to have been convinced to join Coventry ahead of Hull following his relationship with former Black Stars assistant coach George Boateng, who is deputy manager at the Championship club.

The English-born striker made his Black Stars debut in June, coming on as a second-half substitute as Ghana defeated the Central African Republic in a seven-goal thriller.

Thomas-Asante is expected to help Coventry in their pursuit of promotion to the Premier League next season, after they placed ninth in the last campaign.
