Sunyani (B/A) March 12 GNA - The Brong-Ahafo Regional Second Division Middle League for eight zonal champions for this year took off at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Thursday.
Nsoatreman Football Club (F/C) started the league on a good note when they licked Goaso Multi-Choice F/C 1-0 with their center forward, James Adomah scoring the only goal of the match in the first half.
On resumption of the second half, Multi-Choice started on fast note and dictating the pace of the game but wasted all the clear chances that came their way with strikers Ben Anaba and Yaw Badu, being the worst offenders.
In another match, Dormaa Aduana Stars thrashed Tuobodom Red Lions 5-1 after leading 3-0 in the first half.
According to the fixtures, four other teams, Atebubu AFA F/C, Berekum Samereka, Bechem United and Goaso Nananom FM F/C.T are the other participants.
The four-day programme which is expected to end next Sunday will enable the Regional Football Association (RFA) to select and submit the names of the first four teams to the GFA for consideration into this year's first division league.
Pairings for Friday are Tuobodom versus Nsoatreman, Atebubu AFA against Samereka, Aduana Stars will pitch their strength against Multi-Choice and Bechem United will take on Nananom.
On Saturday, Bechem United will play against AFA F/C, Tuobodom will meet Multi-Choice, Nananom against Samereka while Nsoatreman play against Aduana Stars.
The final duel of the competition comes off on Sunday with the runners up in Group "A" facing their counterparts in Group "B" while winner "A" will take on winner "B".
