Brong Ahafo blast Milo over Stephen Adams omission

*SportsInGhana.com* can reveal that Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams arrived in Ghana on Monday after failing to make Ghana’s 23-man World Cup squad.

The Glo Ghana Premier League golakeeper of the year may have been disappointed to have been axed from the national team but there was more surprise for him on arrival in Accra. Aduana Stars’ fans led by Kofi Manu Blue Boy and dignitaries from the Dormaahene’s palace were at the Kotoka International Airport to welcome home the man they still rate their hero.

Operations Manager of Aduana Stars, George Gyau did not waste anytime in blasting coach Milovan Rajevac for the decision to axe the Premier League winning goalkeeper. ''We are glad that its not just us the people of Dormaa who have questioned Adams’ ommission, the whole Ghana are against it.

“How come a keeper who has been voted the best in our country from the 30 premier league matches played be kicked out in favour of those he beat in the competition, talking about Daniel Agyei and Stephen Ahorlu? To me, something fishy transpired for such a decision to be made,” an obviously angry Gyau said.

Adams did tell the press of his shock at not making the cut for the World Cup party but was nevertheless encouraged for the future because of the support offered him by senior players like Stephen Appiah, Muntari and the rest.

“Of course I’m shocked and disappointed to be dropped but I enjoyed every bit of time I spent with the team.

“I am so happy for the little experience and lessons I have learnt from the Black Stars camp and I believe my chance will come again at the appropriate time,” he told SportsInGhana.com.
