Accra Hearts of Oak, Ghana's most celebrated football club, has embarked on a transformative journey as we aim to achieve pre-eminence.

The club's board initiated a comprehensive restructuring process that would span all levels of the organization aimed at meeting international best practices and higher standards.

This started with the senior team and moved through the junior team (Auroras), the female team (Oaks FC), and the Under-15 squad known as the Royal Oaks. These are all ably supported by the technical director, Rene Hindink.

Senior Team: A New Dawn:

The restructuring began with the senior team, the heartbeat of Accra Hearts of Oak. The club appointed a new head coach, an astute and experienced tactician renowned for his strategic prowess and ability to nurture young talent whilst developing senior players. Coach Aboubakar Ouattara. To achieve this, he is ably supported by a team of sports scientists and fitness trainers brought on board to ensure that players are in their best physical condition for Hearts.

Key player acquisitions were made to strengthen weak areas of the team whilst focusing on both local talents and international stars who could bring a wealth of experience to the squad. The management also emphasized mental fortitude, arranging sessions with sports psychologists to boost the team's resilience and focus.

In terms of player welfare, the players are rated as the best, as they have enjoyed the best of both infrastructural facilities and financial benefits in the Ghana Premier League.
These, make our players the most enviable players in the Premier League.

Junior Team: Auroras Rising:

Next in line is Auroras, the junior team of Hearts of Oak. The restructuring aimed at aligning the junior team’s philosophy with that of the senior team, ensuring a seamless transition for players moving up the ranks.

A dedicated youth academy developer was appointed in the person of Dong Bortey, and tasked with overhauling the training programs to emphasize technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical development and ensuring that their performance at the end of every season is commendable.

Aurora's scouting network was expanded, reaching out to various regions in Ghana to uncover hidden gems. No wonder the likes of Humphrey Tetteh and Hamza Issah, amongst many others, were discovered.

Female Team: Queens of the Oak–Oaks FC:

Recognizing the growing importance of women's football, Hearts of Oak revamped its female team with equal enthusiasm. A new coaching staff, with a strong focus on developing a competitive and cohesive unit, was appointed.
Coach Mercy Tagoe now leads the charge for Oaks FC.

In order to ensure that the ladies are exposed to the best, the players are camped in a perfect environment. The investment in state-of-the-art training facilities and resources ensured that the female team had access to the same quality of support as their male counterparts.

Under-15 Team: The Royal Oaks:

The Royal Oaks, the Under-15 male team, was given special attention in the restructuring process. The club believed that nurturing talent from a young age was crucial for long-term success. The club has put together a holistic development program that serves as a blueprint, which will help nurture young talents to feed not only our senior team but also nurture talents to further strengthen Ghana football and beyond.

It also focuses not only on football development, but also on personal development, education, and life overall.

Youth coaches were brought in to lead the Royal Oaks, emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The club also established a mentorship program, where senior team players would regularly interact with the young talents, sharing their experiences and providing guidance.

A Confident Future:

As the restructuring process unfolded, there is a new sense of optimism and confidence. The changes would not just be superficial, but they will be deeply rooted in a vision of sustainable success and excellence.

The senior team, now a well-oiled machine, looks forward to the upcoming season with high hopes.

The Auroras, re-energized and inspired, aimed to dominate the junior leagues.

The female team, with their resources and support, is prepared to make a significant impact.

And the Royal Oaks, the youngest of the lot, embodied the future of Hearts of Oak, filled with promise and potential.

With a unified philosophy, enhanced support systems, and a commitment to excellence, Accra Hearts of Oak is off to a new era. The club is soaring high, confident of a good year in the coming season and many more to follow.

Infrastructure:

In terms of infrastructural development, Hearts is second to none in Ghana football and sits amongst the big clubs across the world that boast of modern infrastructure that befits their stature.

The club can boast of a huge and massive edifice that represents its clubhouse - (Phobia House), a Commercial Centre and a modern sports complex that is aimed at refining lives and giving these talents to future generations.
