Undefeated Ghanaian boxer Brimah Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku surprised everyone when he weighed lesser than his opponent Bastie Samir at the weigh in session for his cruiserweight non-title showdown at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday October 21.
Bukom Banku made a grand entrance into the Arena, literally throwing banku, a local dish, to his fans as he made his way into the ring. Prior to Banku’s entrance, Bastie Samir came in with a heavy crowd to cheer him on as he made his way into the ring in his usual Northern attire.
It was a heated weigh-in session, as the two boxer’s supporters came in their numbers to support their respective boxers.
Bastie Samir was first to step on the scales and he weighed 194Ibs, while Kamoko tipped the scales at 193Ibs.
Immediately after the weigh-in, Samir took the microphone and promised his teeming fans that he will teach the Bukom native some lessons in the ring.
But Kamoko, in replying the former Olympian, vowed to stop his compatriot in round six.
For the undercard fights, George Ashie weighed 132Ibs, Max Moshi also weighed 132Ibs.
Prince Octopus Dzanie will face Isaac Quaye for the vacant WBO Africa bantamweight belt. Dzanie weighed 118Ibs same as Quaye.

For the National super bantamweight championship, Isaac Sackey weighed 119Ibs as against Kamarudeen Boyefio’s 121Ibs.
