Plans to resume the German Bundesliga 2 has hit problems after Godsway Donyoh's two Dynamo Dresden teammates tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

The whole Dynamo Dresden squad are set to begin a 14-day quarantine following revelation that two of their players have contracted the deadly virus.

It was announced on Thursday that the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga (German equivalent of Serie A and B) seasons would resume from Saturday, May 16.

That same day, Dynamo Dresden were allowed to begin full-contact training, as the only player who tested positive had been in quarantine since May 3 anyway.

A series of tests on May 4 all came back negative, so they were allowed to resume full training.

However, today they released a statement confirming another two positive cases of COVID-19.

They were and remain asymptomatic, so the positive status was only ascertained via blanket testing.

This prompted the local health authority to order the entire squad into quarantine for 14 days, in case they too begin to develop symptoms.

That makes it impossible for Dynamo Dresden to play the opening fixture against Hannover 96 on May 17.
