The Black Satellites set off their campaign at the 2019 All African Games on a good note defeating Burundi’s U-20 side 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Medeama SC striker Awudu Tahiru scored a brace to dispatched the East African country in a difficult game.
The striker scored two successful first-half goals which Ghana relied on to earn their first 3 points in Group B.
The 19-year-old found the back of the net after 16 minutes of play to put the Satellites in front before adding another just five minutes later with a brilliant goal.
Ghana, however, conceded a goal before the half time which derailed the Satellites dream of having a starting clean sheet.
The Black Satellites will lock horns with Senegal in their next game on Wednesday before facing Mali in the final Group game on August 24.
