Cape Coast June 30, GNA - The Central Region Division Two clubs on Tuesday threatened to take the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to court if it failed to release their registration cards for the 2005 league season by Friday, July 15. The threat was issued after a meeting chaired by Mr Matthew Doe, Regional Chairman at Cape Coast to discuss the 2005 soccer season scheduled to commence next month.
The clubs alleged that the registration cards were sent to the GFA secretariat in Accra for validation on October 25, last year, but it has failed to release them to enable the league to start. They alleged that as a result of the GFA's action the clubs have lost key player to the upper divisions. This, they said, has deprived the clubs the much-needed finances that would have accrued to them by way of development levy.
