Ghana deputy coach Maxwell Konadu has applauded Asante Kotoko’s progress in the CAF Confederation Cup despite the absence of domestic football in Ghana.
According to Maxwell, the club has gone through a lot of phases in just a few months but has been able to pick up themselves and compete at the highest level.
“They are doing very well. I’m happy with what they have done so far. Anyone who understands the game knows that. Because it’s not easy,” he said.
“They have gone through some phases of development and a lot of the players are new.
“At the beginning of the season, many of them were not in the team.
“When you put all this into consideration plus the change of managers, I think the management must be commended. They have done well,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will travel to Zambia to face Nkana FC on Sunday 24 February in Kitwe.
