Former Ghana U20 coach Jimmy Cobblah has returned to Togolese side Maranatha FC and led them to beat Liberian side LISCR FC 3-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup qualifier on Sunday.
Cobblah was under pressure after failing to progress from the Group stage of the CAF U20 Cup of Nations in Niger.
The former Inter Allies and Wa All Stars coach is delighted to have hit the ground running.
"Togo is my home now. I was here some time ago, you know, so when they qualified for the confederation the president thought that he needs somebody who has experience to come and help so I have come to help my people," he said.
"Am happy for the boys because in the first half you could see they were better, they were better because I'v just prepared this team for about two weeks and some few days.
"They have played together for a very long time and so we saw them in the first half and in the second half we mapped a strategy and we won."
