CAL Bank, headline sponsor for the ongoing Ghana Beach Soccer League, has donated sets of jerseys to all participating clubs.

The financial giant continues to provide support for the fastest growing Beach Soccer league in Africa with a promised budget review in the pipeline as well.

Cal Bank currently coughs a whopping 44,000 Ghana cedis per season as the headline sponsor of the Beach Soccer.

Introduced into the country as recently as 2011, Beach Soccer continues to make the headlines both on the continent and the world at large. As the main feeder team to the Black Sharks, the Ghana Beach Soccer league has grown at a supersonic pace under the leadership of federation president, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.

All the sixteen clubs in the country will receive a set jersey from the package donated by the financial institution.

Speaking exclusively to Sportscrusader.com, Yaw Ampofo Ankra said, “We use to find it tough but we have result not to give up and the clubs are really showing tremendous resistance and resilience. From this perspective, their sacrifices are paying off and for us, we are really happy that Cal Bank continues to support us. We know the package will improve with time with Voltic Mineral water coming on board as well.”

When asked about the sudden rise of Beach Soccer in the country so far, Yaw Ankrah said, “It is not perfect, but you have to start somewhere. We started with the league, then we formed the national team and now we have 16 clubs playing in the biggest Beach soccer league in Africa. I am sure with time we will get the right support from the right places and beach soccer will become a household name in Ghana. We want to thank the media for their tremendous support as well”.
