CEO of New Edubiase FC slams 'snobbish' NC chairman

GFA Normalisation Committee GFA Normalisation Committee

The owner and bankroller of New Edubiase FC has expressed his disappointment over the performance of the GFA Normalisation Committee, labelling its chairman as "snobbish".

Abdul Salaam Yakubu says things are going worse under the Kofi Amoah administration after eight months of being at helm of Ghana football.

"That man (Dr Kofi Amoah), the new President of NC is snobbish, he will never sit with the referees to discuss anything," he said.
"From day one I have never agreed with FIFA for bringing this Normalization Committee and I think FIFA is not being fair to Ghana football".

Yakubu's reaction comes at the back of announcement by the Referees Association of Ghana(RAG) to suspend their services in the ongoing Special Competition due to unpaid allowances.
He could not fathom why the referees have not being paid as the competition enters it's tenth week on Wednesday.

"What I can say is that things are getting worst under this Normalization Committee," he said.
"Their members are receiving their salaries leaving the referees to suffer."

A statement released on Monday by RAG said their action to suspend offiiating matches in thd competition was influenced by the failure of the Normalisation Committee to settle officiating fees before the end of April.

But according to the NC, they have notified the Ministry of Youth & Sports about the complaints of the referees.
