Ghana will have four slots in next year’s Africa inter-club competitions, Goal Ghana understands.
The country until recently was having four slots, but was reduced to two with the Champions League and Confederations Cup having just one participant each as a result of Ghanaian clubs’ poor performance in both competitions.
However, officials at the African football governing body have revealed Caf has reviewed Ghana’s performance over the years and are entitled to their original four slots they lost three years ago from next year.
The development means Ghana Premier League champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea will represent the west African country in the Caf Champions League next season whiles Medeama, winners of the MTN FA Cup and Ebusua Dwarfs will campaign in the Confederations Cup.
