Chelsea's teenage sensation Callum Hudson-Odoi is questioning Maurizio Sarri's selection decisions following the Blues heavy defeat to Manchester City, according to reports.

Chelsea’s hierarchy blocked 18-year old from joining Bayern Munich in the January transfer window and are desperate for the winger to sign a new contract.

The English born Ghanaian will have just a year remaining on his deal in the summer and handed in a transfer request last month in order to force through a move to the Bundesliga champions.

Chelsea’s board are keen to show Hudson-Odoi that he will get plenty of chances in the first team, but that promise has not been backed up by Sarri’s team selections.

Hudson-Odoi has started just two games since the beginning on January and while he travelled with the team for Chelsea’s 6-0 defeat to City on Sunday, he was left out of the matchday squad and was forced to watch the game from the stands.

And according to The Times, Chelsea’s board are ‘concerned’ by some of Sarri’s decisions, including his management of Hudson-Odoi’s playing time.

The report also claims that Hudson-Odoi is also questioning Sarri’s reasoning.

Sarri, meanwhile, has told Chelsea’s board in the wake of the crushing defeat to City that his squad are not good enough to adopt his playing style and wants an overhaul at the end of the season.
