Cape Town City confirm Joseph Adjei capture

South African top-flight side Cape Town City have expressed their delighted over the signing Ghana youth defender Joseph Adjei.

The 20-year-old joined the newly-promoted club from high flying Ghanaian top-flight outfit Wa All Stars.

The talented defender has been handed the No.5 jersey at the club, Ghanasoccernet.com revealed last week after the deal was sealed.

City have now officially confirmed the signature of 20-year-old as they seek to bolster their squad before the transfer window shuts.

They are delighted over the loan deal that brings in the defender from the Ghanaian Premier League title contenders.

"We are excited to welcome Ghanaian international, Joseph Adjei (20) to Cape Town City FC," the club tweeted on Monday.

Adjei is expected to make his debut for Cape Town City next week Tuesday when they host Polokwane City in their first Premier League match of the season.

The towering centre-back will be offered a permanent deal if he impresses during the 12-month spell at the club.
