Cape Verde have beaten Uganda 1-0 in Group Two of the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign on Saturday in Praia.

Cafu scored the crucial goal four minutes from half-time.

In their opening games a fortnight ago Uganda beat the DR Congo 1-0 and Cape Verde lost 2-1 in South Africa.

The other matches in Group Two on Sunday see DR Congo hosting Burkina Faso while South Africa travel to Kumasi to take on Ghana
