Carlos Roberto appointed Medeama coach

Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have appointed Carlos Roberto Paullet as new coach.

The Peruvian has joined the Mauve and Yellows for an undisclosed number of years and fee. He replaces Augustine Evans Adotey, who reverts to his assistant role, and will also be supported by Stephen Abugri.

“We have secured a man who is committed to the long-term ambitions of the club and will build the team for the future and now,” president of the club Moses Armah confirmed on the club’s website.

“Paullet has tremendous strength of character and recognizes the importance of bringing young players through and developing them alongside established players.

“At Medeama, I think Roberto will be able to express himself. I’m delighted he has accepted and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Born and raised in South America, Roberto studied Sports and Science in England and in the United States. He has a degree in Sports Psychology, as well as a degree in the training of coaches from the English FA.

He also has a diploma in training lecturers for Universities from City and Guilds in the United Kingdom. He is a UEFA License A certificate holder, wielding countless other coaching qualifications across actual practice and teaching.

Paullet previously had stints with South End United, Charlton Athletic, Tottenham and Ivorian Lique 1 side Stella club d’adjamé.
