Chain Gang rides for charity

Chain Gang would today embark on a charity ride from Osu to Koforidua dubbed: the “CHAIN GANG Charity Cycle Ride”.

The Chain Gang's watch word is: “Build Inner Strength & Achieve Outer Spin.

A statement issued in Accra and copied to Ghana News Agency said Chain Gang has been in existence for more than 19 years and has contributed immensely to the sport of cycling in Ghana over the period.

With more than 50 registered members and cyclists of all ages and walks of life and professions, the chain gang cycling club has been a social unifier to all its members and their families.

Promoting healthy living through sport and positive recreation, the clubs message to society has been beneficial as a message to the youth over the years.

Last year the charity ride to Koforidua was able to raise GH¢ 4000 for the Kids Kingdom Charity and this year, the club hopes to raise more money for the orphanage.

The target distance for the charity ride is 86km.

The first regroup stop would be at Ayi Mensah, the second – Maamfe, the third regroup stop – Adawso and the destination is Jackson Park-Koforidua.
