Al Khartoum coach Kwesi Appiah has made a proposal to the Sudanese FA to lift the limitation on clubs in signing foreign players to give more Ghanaians the chance of playing in the lucrative division.
Clubs in Sudan are allowed to sign only three foreign players in a policy which aims at protecting home grown talents.
Efforts are however being made to enhance the profile of the Sudanese top flight with the signing of players quality international players.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has revealed he would love to sign more Ghanaians to beef up his squad but is unable to do so due to the regulation limiting the signing of foreign players in Sudan.
The former Black Stars coach has revealed holding talks with Sudanese FA over making amendments to this regulation to allow him to sign more Ghanaians.
“Personally I would like to have many Ghanaian players in the Sudan league,” Appiah revealed.
“Ghanaian players are technically gifted and are of high quality.
“The unfortunate thing however is that clubs here are allowed to sign only three foreign players.
“I have spoken to the FA here to try and change the laws here to allow clubs sign more foreign players.”
