Manchester City star Raheem Sterling welcomed highly-rated Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi into the England senior national team with a queer tweet.
Hudson-odoi was called up into the England squad on Monday for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro.
The 18-year-old has played 19 games for Chelsea this season, scoring five times, but is yet to start a Premier League match.
Just hours after reports went rife of the teenager's surprise call-up, Sterling took to twitter to welcome him into the team before adding that he deserves it despite his twitter account not certified.
Hudson-Odoi was called up after full-back Luke Shaw joined John Stones, Fabian Delph and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in withdrawing from the squad.
England host the Czechs at Wembley on Friday, 22 March and are away in Montenegro on Monday, 25 March.
