Former Ghana international Tony Yeboah had an illustrious club career which saw him play in two top European Leagues.

Yeboah played for Leeds United in England and also for Frankfurt in the German League. In both clubs, he is revered for his services and the joy he brought fans with his contribution to the respective clubs.

Years after his services, it appears that the love for Yeboah still lives in parts of the German city of Frankfurt.

BBC journalist John Bennett shared a photo of a giant Tony Yeboah portrait mural on an apartment in Frankfurt.

"The love for Tony Yeboah is still strong in Frankfurt. Quite rightly too…," Bennett captioned his post.

Yeboah had a slow first year in Germany, but then scored 17 league goals in his second year in Saarbrücken (his first club). He was then transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt.

In the Hesse metropolis, Yeboah established himself as a strong striker. He was the top Bundesliga scorer twice with Frankfurt, in 1993 and 1994.

Yeboah joined English club Leeds United from Eintracht Frankfurt for a £3.4 million price tag in January 1995.
