Chelsea aim to avoid another Nania upset

FC Nania will arrive for the Super Cup pre-game press conference on Friday under no pressure as they carry the tag as the underdogs ahead of Sunday's big game.

The second tirer side who won the FA Cup last season will clash with premier league champions, Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium to herald the start of the new season.

Abedi Pele's Nania will rarely dare to put themselves up as favourites regardless of Sunday's result, an approach they adopted on their way to beating Asante Kotoko to lift the Cup.

But Nania are aware that causing another 'shock', which will not be new to their opponents, after beating Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals, will further enhance their status a force to reckon with.

Chelsea, though favourites, are certainly under pressure to deliver yet again, considering the gulf that exist between both sides as they possess one of the most expensive assembled sides in the country.

The Berekum side will be eager to add another trophy to their cabinet when they play Nania, a game which will also honour the memory of the late Alhaji Ibrahim Sly Tetteh, the former Liberty Professionals President, who passed away on September 3, 2011.

The Super Cup is played between the premiership champion and FA Cup winner to precede the start of the football season.

Kick-off is @ 15:00 GMT (3:00PM local time)
