Berekum Chelsea have officially announced the death of their Supporters Coordinator, Kwame Mfum who passed on last Sunday.
The club acknowledged the death of the coordinator and how great a loss it will be to them in particular and Ghana football in general.
As statement on the club website signed by the Communications Director, Isaac Amponsah read:
We are with deep sorrow to announce to you the sudden death of our National Supporters coordinator, Hon. Kwame Mfum who passed away on Sunday morning at the Wenchi Hospital after a short illness.
Mfum, who was also known as "Love your brother and live long" doubled as the New Patriotic Party's Organizer for Berekum East constituency was returning from a funeral at Nsokor in the Tain District of the Brong Ahafo Region when suddenly started complaining of headache.
He was rushed to the Wenchi Government Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few minutes later.
He left behind a wife and four children.
