English giants Chelsea are planning a shock transfer move for Ghanaian international Kwadwo Asamoah, according to UK news portal Metro.

The 27-year-old who has netted five goals in 102 appearances for Juventus since joining the Italian Champions in 2012 is said to be a target for his former Coach Anthonio Conte who is ready to cash in on the midfielder.

Asamoah enjoyed playing time at Juventus during Conte’s time era as head coach for the Old Lady.

The Italian gaffer who used the Ghanaian as a left wing-back is eager to bring in the versatile player into his new set-up.

Kwadwo Asamoah had a fruitless season at Juventus this term having battled several injuries.

Arsenal were earlier reported to be interested in the former Udinese star.
