Vitesse Arnhem head coach Peter Bosz has confirmed that Chelsea winger Christian Atsu will not return to the club on loan next season.

The Ghana international, 22, who was signed by the Blues from Porto for £3.5 million last summer, looks set to compete for a place in Jose Mourinho's squad next season.

Atsu has impressed at the World Cup with the Black Stars following an impressive season in the Dutch top flight with Vitesse where he scored five goals in 27 appearances. He was named Player of the Year as well.

However, although Mourinho would want to take a look at him in pre-season with the rest of his first-team squad that have returned home early from Brazil, he could yet be farmed out to another club.

Bosz told VI: "Atsu does not return to Vitesse. Half the Bundesliga and Premier League are chasing him."
