Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been provisionally suspended from football after testing positive for doping.
A statement from Chelsea confirmed that the FA recently contacted Mudryk regarding an adverse finding in a routine urine test.
“Both the Club and Mykhailo fully support the FA’s testing programme, and all our players, including Mykhailo, are regularly tested,” the statement read.
“Mykhailo has categorically confirmed that he has never knowingly used any banned substances.”
“Both Mykhailo and the Club will now work with the relevant authorities to establish what has caused the adverse finding.”
Chelsea signed the Ukrainian from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023. He has since made 53 Premier League appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.
