Chibsah confident ahead of Atalanta clash

Frosinone Frosinone

Frosinone’s midfield powerhouse Yussif Raman Chibsah believes his side are in better spirits ahead of Sunday's Italian Seria A fixture against Atalanta.
The Canaries' who are looking forward to starting 2019 in good shape have a tough task against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side on Sunday.

Knowing what a good start brings to the table, Ghana international Rahman Chibsah thinks getting a positive result against a club like Atalanta could spark a new challenge as far as survival in the Italian Seria A is concerned.

“Our performance in this game, especially being our first seria A game of 2019 could influence a lot of things in the season. We are working hard every now and then to ensure that we put smiles on the faces of our loyal fans”. He told the media.

Amid a run of poor results, Ghana’s Chibsah has been one of the most consistent performers for the Canaries with his decent passing ranges blended with tough tackling, and workaholic attitude on the pitch.

When asked about his expectations of the year 2019, the former Juventus Academy product says he remains positive about his team’s chances of survival in the Seria A.

“We need to take every game step by step but also see every match as a cup final. We have a tough task in 2019 and we can only achieve it if we play our hearts out, continue to fight hard and stay committed as we have always been. With a bit of luck on our side I know we can pass the test”.

Frosinone sit second from bottom in the 20-team Serie A table with Atalanta occupying the 8th position after 19 games.
