Chicago Fire excited at the imminent return of Nyarko

Chicago Fire coach Frank Yallop is happy at the news that injured Ghana winger Patrick Nyarko could return to the pitch any time soon.

Nyarko, 29, suffered a cruciate ligament tear and has been out of action for over six months, however, he is on the road to full recovery and is expected to feature for his side before Major League Soccer first round ends.

His rehabilitation has been very smooth under the supervision of the club’s fitness coaches, according to reports.

“I hate to keep saying it, but we’ve got Patrick Nyarko and Magee coming back. Those two guys coming are new signings for us, if you like,” Yallop told MLS.com

Meanwhile Yallop is brooding over the suspension of another Ghana international David Accam, who was sent off against Kansas City and will miss Saturday’s game against Real Salt Lake.

“Obviously, Accam's suspension is something we’re looking at right now. We’ve got six different scorers, but you need your central striker, whoever he is, you want him to get off the mark and get going,” Yallop said.

Accam is joined in the Fire attack by three more new players: Kennedy Igboananike, Guly do Prado and Jamaican youngster Jason Johnson.
